Our Story
All About Framing has been many years in the making… we just didn’t know it at the time! Two talented framers who have been working in the retail frame industry since the early 1990s are now Calgary’s very first MOBILE FRAMING service! We’ve spent decades in the framing business, honing our skills and creating a personalized service you are going to love. 2020 was a helluva year…we all know how the world has been forever changed, so we created a new way to keep doing what we love–creating and delivering custom frames!

Who We Are
Melanie Figueroa
Framer Extraordinaire
Melanie started framing by accident in 1993, lol! Fresh out of studying at Alberta College of Art (now AUArts) and looking for work, she wandered into a boutique frame shop and was hooked! It combined all of her favourite things: the arts and hands-on construction. She started as a “baby-framer” and worked her way up to management within a few years, learning everything from design work, to frame building, project assembly, canvas handling, conservation techniques, and retail administration. She has worked in retail framing, wholesale framing, and gallery specific settings. Her love of the job is evident in her enthusiasm and perseverance in the industry. Every time a new opportunity arises, she finds a way to keep on framing!

Frame Diva
Tina’s passion for embellishment was cultivated in her days studying at ACAD (now AUArts). Her BFA in Textiles and Multimedia translated excellently to her career in the custom framing industry. Tina began her framing career in a large arts & crafts store, but as time went on, she was drawn more and more to the “custom” aspects of the business. She tenaciously learned “the ropes” and rose through the ranks. She has over 25 years in the industry and 21 of those years she owned and operated her own retail custom framing shop. Tina is passionate about problem-solving, interior design, and salvaging beautiful things, while her love of customer service has earned her the highest respect within the community. Even after all these years, her favourite part of the job is still the “one on one” creative interaction she has with her clients. These days, Tina is focused on redesigning the framing business model, her expertise has been vital in launching the Mobile Frame concept.

Mobile Design Showroom
All About Framing brings the showroom to you with our custom “framing van.” Once our designers have created fully visulized mock-ups of your project, we’ll deliver samples to your home or office, collect your artwork or objects for framing at our secure facility, then deliver your gorgeous, fully-framed pieces right to your door!
Repairs and REfurbishing
Broken glass? Water damage? Kids or pets knocked it off the wall? We can help! We have the tools to safely and properly put your project back together again.
